Last weekend, I decided to go shoot some film. I packed my Nikon FM, 50mm f1.8 Nikon Series E and 55mm f3.5 Micro-Nikkor lenses, 3 rolls of film (Lomochrome Purple, Agfaphoto Vista Plus 200 and Fuji Reala 100), a lens hood and a few filters, and headed out.

In the end, I only used my 50mm f1.8 lens. I don’t use it very often and it did a good job but I still want to replace it with a Nikkor 50mm f1.8 AI/S lens one day. I also shot all 3 rolls of film!

It was only after I’d finished the roll of Lomo that I realised I had already exposed some of it with my F80 prior to selling it (doh!), but I warned FilmDev, and I think that helped drastically, as the roll came out much better than I’d hoped! There were no serious overexposure issues.

I really love Lomochrome Purple and I think this might be the perfect film to shoot now that Autumn is on its way out and Winter is fast approaching. The cyan and purple hues of this film will make up for winter’s more muted palette… I hope! Will definitely be preordering some of the new batch that is going to be shipping out around April time (fingers crossed!).
